How in the world did the Supreme Court come up with the decision that the Defense of Marriage Act was unconstitutional? Our forefathers never foresaw that a woman would want to marry a woman or that a man would want to marry a man. They were too busy bedding down their slaves.
As long as this country has the Supreme Court to take away states laws and dictate what they can do, it will never be a democracy. They might have a hard time getting Virginia as it's written up in the constitution, but the Supreme Court will overturn that in time.
