Letter to the Editor: Columns on area history enjoyable to read

This is to let you know how much I enjoy reading the Patrick Farris articles you carry in your paper each week. I am a history buff so I look forward to reading his articles about the local history of Front Royal and Warren County. They are most interesting and well written and researched. The Warren Heritage Society is fortunate to have him as their executive director.

Hopefully you can locate columnists like Patrick Farris who can write about the local history of the other counties, cities, and towns served by your newspaper.

And thank you for running notices about things happening in Shenandoah, Warren, and Frederick counties. Just yesterday I attended the Warren Heritage Society’s ceremony regarding the Civil War Trails marker that will be installed to inform people of the Battle of Wapping Heights. I learned through your newspaper that it was taking place, and it was most interesting.
