Letter to the Editor: Telling whole story is necessary in preservation

Editor:

A wonderful article in your Aug. 17th edition, "Society seeks to protect graffiti." Bravo!

Shenandoah County is one of the richest counties in America in the history of building this great nation, and in preserving the 1795 courthouse's complete history
"telling its whole story" is the absolute necessity in preservation. To not take care in preserving the Civil War graffiti or any other historic find in the building would be less than truthful.

I am looking forward to hearing more about the great history of Shenandoah County.

Rex Ingram, Maurertown
