Emily Scott is a candidate for the 4th District (Woodstock and vicinity) seat on the Board of Supervisors of Shenandoah County. She merits your consideration and your support.
Scott is a native of Woodstock. She's a graduate of Central High School and Randolph-Macon College. She's a life-long member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Woodstock and belongs to the Edinburg Lions Club and the Shenandoah County Democratic Committee. Her family has been respected citizens here for decades.
Scott is a working woman and a Democrat. For years she's occupied trusted positions with various organizations. She's now employed by the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen in Front Royal.
Her broad experience has inspired in Scott a deep regard for working people. Further, she has prevailed over the vicissitudes of life; she's a widow. She is directed by no one. Emily makes no hollow promises. She definitely is not a member of the tea party cult that brought the United States of America to its knees and threatens Virginia.
Scott seeks political office to offer Woodstock residents a responsive, responsible, moderate, common sense, thoughtful voice on the Board of Supervisors -- a refreshing voice.
If these qualities appeal to you, do go to the polls on Nov. 5 and cast your ballot for Scott.
