Letter to the Editor: Vote for Roy Boyles

Editor:

I would like to offer my support for Roy K. Boyles as commissioner of the revenue for Warren County.

I no longer live in Front Royal, or Virginia, but I worked very closely with Boyles in my position as secretary to the superintendent of Warren County Public Schools and clerk to the Warren County School Board for a number of years.

Boyle's passion for education and the youth of Warren County was evident in his daily visits to the superintendent's office. His love for Warren County and the betterment of its governance is what he's worked toward for many years.

He has worked extremely hard to make Warren County a better place to live, work and educate your family, and will continue to do so as your commissioner.

I urge all registered voters in Front Royal and Warren County to cast your vote on Nov. 5 in support of Boyles as commissioner of the revenue. His election to this position will be a great loss to the School Board, but he can help a lot more people as the commissioner. I just wish I could vote!

Becky Lillard, Murrells Inlet, S.C.
