Letter to the Editor: Why should we pay for those who won't work?

Editor:

I'm writing this to see how many people care how their tax dollars are spent on medical care in Shenandoah County.

I have watched people who are perfectly able to go out and work but will sit there and and cry that they need disability.

I am a former soldier of the Iraq War and they say I have post traumatic stress disorder. The VA put me in for a disability claim, which I turned down. I am perfectly able to work and provide for myself.

So why are our taxpayers having to pay for the people who refuse to try and find work? It's sad that taxpayers have to pay for it

Earl R. Irvine, Woodstock
