Letter to the Editor: Fear is consuming nation

Editor:

Fear continues to consume this nation.

Family lives are being altered. Still, there is a voice in the background who continues to be saying: “That is OK.”

Jobs are being lost or reduced to not finding a job, or to working two or three part-time jobs – just barely making ends meet. Still, there is a voice in the background who continues to be saying: “That is OK.”

Families are being forced to change their living styles, trying to make ends meet. Parents have found themselves working different hours — not at home– literally corrupting what a family should be. There is a voice in the background who continues to be saying: “That is OK.”

The young and the old are being encouraged to seek more education — educational loans are skyrocketing — still no jobs, and yet: There is a voice in the background who continues to be saying: “That is OK.”

Retirement systems are changing or being reduced to none. There is a voice in the background who continues to be saying: “That is OK.”

Health Insurance policies are changing or reduced to none. Still, there is a voice in the background who continues to be saying: “That is OK.”

Should the president be saying: “I will bend with the desires, needs and conscious of the majority of my citizens — regardless of my own feelings toward any political party?”

Should he not be saying: “It is not about me, it is about you (the people of this great nation — the United States of America)?”
