Letter to the Editor: Local theater is thriving

This past weekend saw an amazing pair of events demonstrating that community theater is alive and thriving in the valley.

The Schultz Theatre in New Market sold out their Saturday performance of “Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde” and Theatre Shenandoah enjoyed their eighth consecutive selout of “Jesus Christ Supersta.”

“Superstar” has added two encore performances at 7 p.m. April 4 and 5, and the Schultz opens a new play that same weekend. Congratulations to all involved in both productions, they are truly remarkable. The amount of hard work both on and behind the stage to put such quality productions in front of Valley audiences is commendable. Bravo!
