Letter to the Editor: Obama broke law, hearings are needed

When President Obama released the five Taliban leaders into freedom he broke the law. He ignored his oath to uphold the Constitution and brazenly defied Congress and the American people.

His actions also endangered Americans abroad who are now ransom bait for any terrorist group demanding money or the release of their comrades.

We the people need to petition Congress to hold hearings and investigate these unlawful and dangerous acts by the president. No one branch of government is above the Constitution.

Call your two senators and congressman and demand that the president and his administration be held accountable. If we do not stand up against executive lawlessness now it will make it easier for this president and future presidents to flaunt the law and ignore the will of the people.
