Letter to the Editor: Vandals should have presented views lawfully

This letter is about those who vandalized the Faithful and True Catholic Books & Gifts in Front Royal sometime Sunday night or early Monday morning by spray painting the windows with a peace sign and at least one message about loving everyone.

The vandals were, I suppose, objecting to remarks made at the Town Council meeting by a mostly Catholic group wanting to keep an ordinance on the books prohibiting tarot card reading. No one at the meeting spoke of hating anyone and none have ever vandalized any business or other place because of their views. They spoke as citizens are allowed.

The vandals wrote of loving everyone but committed acts that destroy because of a different viewpoint. Is that how they show love? If only the vandals could present their views lawfully and respectfully, then I might believe their words. All I see is the lie their method reveals.
