Letter to the Editor: Supervisors need to vote ‘no’ on more rendering

Today the Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors will vote on an important issue: to allow more rendering to take place next to Georges or to protect our beautiful environment.

As pointed out before, a vote for the rendering plant will not add to our county in any positive way. What a vote for it will do is bring in more offal from other locations, exposing Stoney Creek to more pollution, which has happened before.

Please call our supervisors and ask them to vote against this needless expansion. All our voices carry weight and influence.

Roger Barbee, Edinburg
