Letter to the Editor: Elections have consequences!
Elections have consequences! We have learned this sad fact during the past six years of the Obama administration. We have seen one scandal after another — Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS, Veterans Administration, the Southern border problem, Secret Service, ISIS, Ebola, Obamacare and more – and none of them have been addressed by this administration. We have a president who refuses to take responsibility for anything. It is always someone else’s fault. The corruption and deceit in this administration is mind boggling!
Elections have consequences! Last year Virginians elected a Democratic governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. Now we learn that the votes of thousands of Virginians in support of traditional marriage (the union of one man and one woman) no longer counts or even matters.
Elections have consequences! We will soon be having another election. Do we really want to send Mark Warner back to Washington to represent us? He says he is bipartisan but his voting record proves that he voted with Obama 97 percent of the time supporting the things mentioned above.
Elections have consequences! Virginia and America would be better served if we elected Ed Gillespie to be our senator. Another benefit would be to remove the cause of the gridlock in Washington — Harry Reid — from leadership.
Elections have consequences! We need to take responsibility and vote.
