Letter to the Editor: Rinaldi should withdraw from race
Ralph Rinaldi ran a close campaign for the Republican open primary, but he lost. Traditionally, one would concede and ask supporters to contribute, work and vote for the winning candidate. This gives the defeated candidate and constituent consideration after the election.
I appeal to Mr. Rinaldi to withdraw. While it is not disloyal to run in an open primary, to consider the oath made under the rule set by the Warren County Republican Committee, it is a lapse of judgment to run now as an independent.
It can be solved with Mr. Rinaldi throwing his support to vote in November for Thomas Sayre to represent the Shenandoah District on the Warren County Board of Supervisors.
