Letter to the Editor: Candidate keeps concerns of families in mind
Tom Sayre is the Republican candidate for the Warren County Board of Supervisors for the Shenandoah District. Based on the encouragement of friends in this community, Tom moved to Warren County about 20 years ago to raise his seven children in our family friendly community.
While serving two terms on the Front Royal Town Council, Tom always kept in mind the concerns of families. He never voted for a raise in taxes, he promoted walking trails and bike lanes and safe sidewalks as well as support for the police and fire departments.
Among Tom’s concerns now are the dangerous “S” curve on Happy Creek Road that needs to be fixed and upgraded due to more traffic; paving and maintaining Blue Mountain Road; fixing the railroad crossing on Rockland Road; and making sure the sanitary districts receive every dollar for their revenue sharing to pave and maintain their roads.
Tom is concerned with completing the middle school and Leach Run Parkway, but staying within the budget.
Tom’s first concerns are for the community; he is not subject to satisfying special hidden interests.
