Letter to the Editor: Incumbent has done a great job

Editor:

I was an assistant commonwealth attorney under Al Mitchell before accepting a position in Warren County. During my time in Shenandoah County I met a lot of great people and developed a fondness for the county.

That is why when Mr. Mitchell decided to retire. I called Amanda Wisely and begged her to run for commonwealth attorney. Apparently,  I was not the only one.

She ended up leaving the Republican Party, ran as an independent and won the election. She then gave up her private law practice and became a servant for the people of Shenandoah County.

She has done, and continues to do, a great job.

I read in Ronnie Sherfey’s letter to this newspaper, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
