Letter to the Editor: Act would open door to discrimination

 Editor:
Oh boy!  Todd Gilbert is at it again.  He has filed the Government Nondiscrimination Act, which, if it passes, will give those who believe that “marriage is or should be recognized as the union of one man and one woman” the freedom to discriminate wherever they want to without any government entity discriminating against them for their discriminatory behavior based on their discriminatory religious belief.
He maintains it is a simple extension of Thomas Jefferson’s religious freedom statute.  That might just be enough to get Mr. Jefferson to turn over in his grave.
