Letter to the Editor: A cheap way to save a life and halt serious injuries

The half mile of three-lane Route 11 south of Strasburg is a killing zone.

The Virginia Department of Transportation should change this section of road to two lanes, one in each direction, until at least where you pass the sweeping curve as you head south on Route 11. This section of highway doesn’t have any shoulders for pedestrians or bicyclists.
I hate to see any passing zones eliminated on Route 11 but this section definitely needs modifications.
VDOT needs to use a little paint and manpower to correct this dangerous situation.
