Letter to the Editor: The primary system works

Editor:

So we have a Republican president but the Democrats won the popular vote. That’s because we have a “primary system.” The Founding Fathers were leary of just letting the president be elected by popular vote. They were afraid the people would be misled and so they designed the primary system thinking primary delegates would have more sense. And one cannot deny the Democrats displayed a lot of hysteria after the 2016 election.
