Letter to the Editor: What else will McConnell do?

Editor:

Over a year ago U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell decided he did not want President Obama to appoint Merrick Garland (or any other person) to the U.S. Supreme Court. So McConnell refused to hold any hearings on that appointment. That was being “senatorial.” In my opinion it was racist and nothing more.

Now, a year later, he changes the rules so he can force through the nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch. So now little Mitch is happy. What will be his next move? Time will tell on that.

Ladies and gentlemen, brace yourselves for the next 20 years. Civil liberties may go away, freedom from religion may go away. A lot of our freedoms may disappear. And all to make a little senator from Kentucky feel like a big man.
