Letter to the Editor: Put new income to good use


The Woodstock Town Council made a good monetary move by increasing the meals tax by 20 percent. Most of the increase will come from tourists stopping to grab a bite at “Hamburger Alley.”

Hopefully, some of this new income will be put to use to fix the numerous, 39 at last count, sewer manhole potholes that punish vehicles’ suspension systems by not being at the same level as the street.
