Letter to the Editor: Goodlatte has had a positive impact on district
As a resident of the 6th District, I feel it is my obligation to regard the work that Congressman Bob Goodlatte has accomplished in serving the people of the district throughout the years of his service in Congress. Bob Goodlatte’s passion for the 6th District and its residents is unforgettable. He is one of the most ethical and truthful congressmen in the nation. His character and honesty were the factors for his reelection every time. He has always put the interest of the people ahead of political interest. He worked for the people regardless of their political party’s affiliation or citizenship status and served each individual in the district fairly.
Bob Goodlatte’s intention was not vote collecting, or gaining of political power. As a simple man, he represented the people with integrity and faith. To view the history of Goodlatte, we can, easily, observe the positive impact on the 6th District. We ought to put the political contention aside and use our conscience and logic to scale Goodlatte’s hard work.
As a Muslim immigrant, I came to America. I have encountered some problems with immigration. Rep. Bob Goodlatte not only assisted me, but he solved the situation, and because of his action I could obtain citizenship. He assisted thousands of immigrants and refugees and opened the door for them to pursue the American dream. He has been an indefatigable representative and defender of the people of the 6th District in Washington, D.C.
Bob Goodlatte was always a good choice for the 6th District; by him retiring, he will be missed.
