I'm sorry, but a recent letter to the editor by James D. Tankersley Jr. regarding the XL pipeline was a bit much to stomach. He states, "We need Keystone refinement in working order now. We need natural gas compression for truck fuel. . . . The Keystone pipeline can lower prices."

If Republicans are elected in Virginia in November, they plan to gut the Affordable Care Act. The health care law provides for nearly universal coverage. Its demise would be a disaster for the average American.

As a nation built on the foundation of its constitutional rights and freedoms, one of our most important is freedom of religion, though not everyone shares similar beliefs opinions and idealisms.
