In response to Mr. Rigelon's letters and columns in the paper, I would like to give my opinion. He seems to want to bash Christians and Republicans, especially George W. Bush, for all the problems. In my opinion, it seems like the politicians seem to cause most of the problems. They care more about the party and getting re-elected than they do for us.

Last Friday night once again made me proud to be an American. Seeing the amazing work of law enforcement agencies in Boston and, after the coward was arrested, seeing Americans standing along the street and cheering for law enforcement agencies as they left Watertown, seeing people come out into streets and celebrate like the Sox had just won the World Series was incredible and reminded me of the days following 9/11, when Americans came together.

As I sat and watched the TV coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing investigation and the live capture of the second suspect, our divisive federal leaders come to mind. The multi-agencies' and private citizens' cooperation that resulted in this successful manhunt conclusion shows me that local, state and federal agencies can work together.

In response to Fred Hughes' liberal bashing diatribe, let me say that yes, I and millions of other open minded and well informed people in this country and around the world were convinced that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq simply because it was reported over and over again in the independent media and in testimony before Congress by people who were in a position to know, like Scott Ritter, former weapons inspector after the first Iraq war.
