Black Walnut Pound Cake

2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs (room temperature)
3 c. cake flour
ΒΌ tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
1 c. chopped black walnuts (covered with 1 T. of above flour)
1 T. vanilla
Cream butter, add sugar small amount at a time beating well after each addition. Add eggs one at a time again beating well after each addition. Sift flour with baking soda and add to creamed mixture alternating with sour cream. Add floured black walnuts. Stir in vanilla; pour into well greased and floured 10: tube pan. Bake at 350 for about 1 hour or until test done. This makes a finely textured cake and the crust is almost a confection.
