Boston Style Tostadas

Serves 8

1 lb. ground beef
½ c. chopped onion
1 c. bottled BBQ sauce
½ tsp. dried oregano, crushed
½ tsp. garlic salt
1 (11 oz.) can baked beans in molasses sauce
4 English muffins, split & toasted
1 ½ c. shredded lettuce
1 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef with onion; drain off excess fat. Add BBQ sauce, oregano & garlic salt. Simmer 5 minutes. In saucepan heat beans. Top each muffin half with 3 T. beans, 3 T. lettuce, ¼ c. meat mixture, and 2 T. cheese.
