Brown Pudding

Topping:
2 squares chocolate
¾ c. sugar
¼ c. milk
3 egg whites
Melt chocolate in double boiler, add sugar and milk. Beat egg whites stiff, pour the chocolate mixture over them gradually and beat well. Pour topping over the custard pudding. Set baking dish in hot water and bake in moderate oven 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
Bottom of pudding:
1 qt. milk
¾ c. sugar
2 T. cornstarch
¼ tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
½ tsp. vanilla
Put all ingredients together except vanilla. Microwave 16 minutes. Add vanilla and pour into large baking dish, adding the above topping, and bake as instructed. Enjoy!
