Hearty Fish Chowder

Serves 6
1 lb. fresh or frozen fish fillets
1 c. cubed potatoes
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 slices bacon
½ c. chopped onion
2 c. milk
3 T. flour
Thaw frozen fish. Cut into 2 inch pieces. Cook potatoes in 2 c. water for 5 minutes. Add fish, salt and pepper. Simmer, covered, 10-12 minutes. In skillet, cook bacon till crisp. Drain and crumble; reserve drippings in skillet. Cook onion in drippings till tender. Add bacon and onion to fish-potato mixture. Combine milk and flour; add to chowder. Cook and stir till thick and bubbly.
