Angel Biscuits

5 c. flour
3/4 c. yellow or white Crisco
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. baking powder

Mix above ingredients together. Dissolve 1 pkg. dry yeast with 1/2 c. water. Add yeast water and 2 cups of buttermilk. Mix up and let rise a little bit. Then roll out biscuit dough. Cut out biscuits. Let rise a little while longer. Then bake at 400 degrees for 15-16 minutes until golden brown.

NOTE: This will make a large batch, so you can roll out about 1/2 of the dough, cover and refrigerate the rest for a few days. You can use this for pizza dough too. Makes about 2 pizzas and bakes at 400 degrees.
