Banana Drop Cookies

Makes about 3 doz.

2 1/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 c. mashed banana, very ripe
sugar and cinnamon

Sift first 4 ingredients together. Cream shortening, sugar and extract together. Beat in banana. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the flour mixture. Drop by teaspoonful on an ungreased cookie sheet; sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 400 degrees about 12 minutes or until bottom is lightly browned.
