Italian Hot Sausage Soup

1 lb. hot sausage (ground)
1/2 c. chopped onions
6 c. beef broth
1 c. water
1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 chopped green pepper
2 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 tsp .oregano leaves
1 1/2 c. diced zucchini
1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced carrots
1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen cheese tortellini
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Brown sausage with garlic and onion; drain off grease. Add beef broth, water, tomatoes, carrots, basil, oregano; bring to boil. Stir in zucchini, peppers; simmer 35 minutes, stirring often. Great with cornbread.
