Pecan Party Biscuits

Yields: 3-4 dozen
2 c. flour
1 T. baking powder
3 T. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. broken pecans
1/2 c. milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Sift together first 3 ingredients. Cut butter into flour mixture until it has the consistency of cornmeal. Add pecans. Combine milk and egg and stir into flour mixture. Turn dough into a lightly floured board and knead 2 or 3 times. Roll dough about 1/3 inch thick. Cut into one inch rounds with a floured cutter. Bake on a cookie sheet 12-15 minutes. Great for brunches or lunches!
