Pepper Cabbage

8 c. cabbage, shredded
1/2 large red pepper, diced
1/2 large green pepper, diced
1 c. celery, diced
1 large carrot, shredded
1/4 c. onion shredded
salt to taste

2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed
In a large bowl, mix cabbage, pepper, celery, carrot and onion. Sprinkle with salt and toss. Mix all dressing ingredients and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Cool until lukewarm. Pour dressing over salad and mix thoroughly. This will keep for a long time in the refrigerator.
