Sausage Macaroni Bake

Serves 4

1 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 T. chopped onion
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 c. water
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese, divided

Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside. In a small skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain if necessary. Add the green pepper, onion, oregano and pepper. Stir in tomato sauce and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes. Stir in macaroni and 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese. Transfer to an ungreased 2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
