Baked Macaroni & Cheese

Serves 8-10
1 (1 lb.) pkg. elbow macaroni, cooked
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. flour
salt & pepper to taste
5 c. milk
4 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions. Heat oven to 350ยบ. In large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Blend in flour, salt & pepper gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and mixture begins to boil. Add cheese; stir until cheese is melted. In 3 qt. casserole, stir together pasta and cheese sauce. Bake 30 minutes or until bubbly.
