Nutter Butter Banana Trifle

Serves 8-10
2 pkgs. (small) vanilla instant pudding
3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. pkg. nutter butter cookies
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
1 (8 oz.) sour cream
5 med. size bananas

Put 3 c. milk in large mixing bowl and add 2 pkgs. pudding and beat on medium speed for 2 mins. or until thickens; add vanilla. Let stand 5 minutes. Slice bananas; break or cut cookies in 3 pieces. Stir into pudding mixture, sour cream. Spoon half of mixture into trifle or some other kind of large bowl. Top with half of cookies and bananas. Repeat mixture - cover with Cool Whip. Cover and chill 2-24 hours.
