Nutty Apple Salad

Serves 12-14
2 c. cubed tart apples
2 c. thinly sliced celery
2 c. halved seedless grapes
1 c. miniature marshmallows
1/3 c. cold evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
3 T. mayonnaise
3 T. peanut butter
1/2 c. mixed nuts - optional

In a large bowl, combine apples, celery, grapes and marshmallows. In a chilled mixing bowl, beat milk until frothy. Add sugar and vanilla. Beat in mayonnaise and peanut butter. Pour over apple mixture; stir until located. Cover and refrigerate, just before serving. Stir in nuts before refrigerating if desired.
