Sausage Lentil Soup

1 lb. Hillshire Farms Polish Kielbasa
(I use turkey kielbasa)
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 med. green pepper, chopped
1 lg. carrot, chopped
1 (32 oz.) box chicken broth
1 (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes w/ liquid
(I use fire-roasted)
1 c. water
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
3/4 c. dry lentils, rinsed

1/2 box frozen chopped spinach
In dutch oven, brown kielbasa in 1 T. bacon grease; drain. Add next 9 ingredients, bring to a boil. Add lentils and chopped spinach. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 60-70 minutes or until lentils are tender.
