Sausage Spinach Loaf
Cook sausage according to package directions. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 15x8 inch rectangle. Sprinkle cheese over dough, leaving a one inch border around all edges. Top with spinach & sausage. Bring long sides of dough together. Pinch to seal edges and ends. Fold ends under dough, if necessary. Place loaf, seam side up, on a greased baking sheet. Combine egg & water, brush over loaf. Sprinkle with caraway seed. Bake in a 350º oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 8-10 minutes. Cut in slices. If your loaf opens at the center seam while baking, don't think twice about it. This gives your loaf a true homemade look. It will still be delicious!
