Sausage Spinach Loaf

Serves 6
1 pkg. BOCA Veggie Sausage
(8 or 9 oz. can be found at Martin's
Supermarket) OR your favorite
sausage
1 (16 oz.) loaf frozen bread dough,
thawed
1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded mozzarella
cheese
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach,
thawed & well drained
1 slightly beaten egg white
1 T. water
caraway seed
sauce for dipping, optional

Cook sausage according to package directions. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 15x8 inch rectangle. Sprinkle cheese over dough, leaving a one inch border around all edges. Top with spinach & sausage. Bring long sides of dough together. Pinch to seal edges and ends. Fold ends under dough, if necessary. Place loaf, seam side up, on a greased baking sheet. Combine egg & water, brush over loaf. Sprinkle with caraway seed. Bake in a 350ยบ oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 8-10 minutes. Cut in slices. If your loaf opens at the center seam while baking, don't think twice about it. This gives your loaf a true homemade look. It will still be delicious!
