A New Twist on Macaroni & Cheese

Serves 6-8

2 c. (8 oz. box) uncooked elbow macaroni
1 (1 lb.) carton small curd cream-style 4% cottage cheese
1 (8 oz.) carton dairy sour cream
1 slightly beaten large egg
pinch of salt to taste
pinch of pepper to taste
8 oz pkg. 2% sharp shredded process cheese

Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain well. Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, beaten egg, salt & pepper. Add shredded cheese, mixing well; stir in cooked macaroni. Butter an 8x8x2 in. baking dish and pour in mixture. Bake 350 degrees for 30 mins.; test for doneness.
