Ham & Cheese Fritters

1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
½ c. milk
1 tsp. light oil
1 ¼ c. cubed cooked ham
¾ c. cubed Swiss cheese
¼ c. minced onion
2-3 c. oil

Beat together first six ingredients until smooth. Stir in ham, cheese, and onion. Drop by rounded tablespoons into hot oil (375). Cook until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towel.
