1 regular size spice cake mix
16 oz. Cool Whip
3 sm. boxes butterscotch pudding, instant
1 (15 oz.) can pumpkin
3 c. milk
Bake cake according to directions on box. Let cool and break or cut up in small pieces. Mix pudding, pumpkin and milk until smooth and thick. Using a large bowl, layer cake, pudding and then cool whip. Repeat until all is used. Final layer should be Cool Whip on top. Refrigerate.
