Sauerkraut au Gratin

Serves 6-8

3 T. flour
½ tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
¼ c. melted butter or margarine
1 1/3 c. milk
1 ½ c. shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 (1 lb. 11 oz. ) can sauerkraut, drained
2/3 c. fine dry breadcrumbs or cornflake crumbs

Stir flour, salt, pepper, mustard and Worcestershire sauce into melted butter. Slowly add milk and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. To this, add 1 c. of the cheese and the well-drained sauerkraut; mix well. Pour into a 1 ½ qt. casserole. Mix crumbs with remaining ½ c. cheese; sprinkle over sauerkraut. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 mins.
