Spaghetti Casserole

1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 med. brown onion
1 ½ lbs. ground beef
1 (24 oz.) can spaghetti sauce
1 (l lb.) box of spaghetti (break in half then break in half again)
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
salt, pepper and garlic powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut out a ring from the yellow and red bell pepper; put aside. Finely chop the rest of the peppers and the onion into small pieces. Add peppers and onion to the ground beef in a large skillet. Cook 2-3 mins. or until beef is brown. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste. Drain the fat. Add spaghetti sauce to the skillet and cook about 4 mins. on med. heat. Cook the pasta following package instructions. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and mix together. Put a layer of the mixture in a casserole dish and layer with shredded cheddar cheese. Add a second layer of mixture and cheese. Finally, top with the last of the cheese and the pepper rings. Bake 25 minutes.
