Sherando tickets go on sale today

STEPHENS CITY -- In anticipation of a larger than normal crowd for this week's Handley at Sherando football game, Sherando has come up with some guidelines for spectators.

Pre-sale tickets will be sold in the main office at Sherando High School beginning today and ending at noon on Friday. Tickets will also be sold at Handley beginning on Wednesday. Everyone is encouraged to purchase pre-sale tickets to speed up entrance into the stadium. There will only be 5,000 tickets available for the game.

Parking in the stadium lot at Sherando is limited. If the lot becomes full it is possible that Warrior Drive will be blocked by the Frederick County Sheriff's Department. Overflow parking is available in the parking lots at Sherando Park. Cars will not be permitted to travel between Sherando High School and Sherando Park via the access drive by the tennis courts. This road is used by the ambulance and no parking will be allowed on the access road. After the game, the road will be open for traffic to exit the game.

Both tickets gates will be open. The main ticket gate will begin operation at 4:30 p.m. with the ticket gate next to Sherando Park opening at 5 p.m. All spectators should plan to arrive at the school by 6 p.m.
