Hornets duo earns all-region honors

Shenandoah University senior Mo Salih and junior Keone Kyle have both been named All-South Region in selections announced Thursday by D3football.com.

Salih, a defensive end, earned first team All-USA South Conference honors this season after registering 16.5 tackles for loss and 32 solo tackles among his 55 total tackles this fall.

He was also named to the D3football.com Team of the Week one time this season and is a two-time All-USA South honoree.

Salih finished his career second in all-time sacks and fourth in tackles for loss. His 16.5 tackles for loss this season is a new school record.

Kyle earned his honor at running back. Kyle had a school-record 1,157 yards on 243 carries on his way to being named first team All-USA South.

Kyle had at least 100 yards rushing in six of nine games this year.
