Former Shenandoah University men's basketball standout Jeremiah Lawrence has signed with Landsberg of the German Regionalliga in a transaction announced on Sunday by the organization.
Lawrence, who was named both the USA South Conference Player of the Year and an NABC All-America following his senior season, moves to the new club after starring for BG Leitershofen/Stadtbergen last year.
Lawrence, who joined BG Leitershofen/Stadtbergen after graduating in December 2008, averaged 26.2 points in 12 contests last season for the Red Kangaroos.
Like all clubs in Germany, Landsberg is privately organized and Lawrence will be one of two professional players on the team. He takes the spot of Christopher Moore, who was waived Sunday.
Lawrence was a three-time All-USA South Conference selection at Shenandoah and became the first player in school history to score more than 1,000 points and pull down 1,000 rebounds in a career.
In addition to his NABC All-America honors, Lawrence was a two-time Street & Smith's pre-season All-America. He finished his career as Shenandoah's leading rebounder and No. 3 on the scoring list.
