Hornets pull off sweep of Ospreys

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Shenandoah swept a doubleheader from Richard Stockton (N.J.) on Sunday.

The Hornets won the opener, 6-0, and then won the second game, 11-7.

In the first game, James Wood graduate Greg VanSickler threw a one-hitter for the Hornets (3-1).

VanSickler struck out six and walked two in picking up the complete game win.

In the second game, sophomore Cory Nelson picked up the win and had three hits and three RBIs. Junior Kevin Brashears also went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
