SU wins pair of conference games

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Shenandoah University's women's basketball team beat Meredith College on Sunday afternoon, 76-60. The victory gave the Hornets a weekend sweep of USA South Conference games.
Shenandoah also beat Peace, 70-63, on Saturday.
In Sunday's win, Alexis Hargbol had 13 points and nine rebounds to lead Shenandoah (12-7, 8-5 USA South). Sierra Edwards added 12 points and Mandy Johnston had 11 for the Hornets.
In Saturday's victory the Hornets trailed 38-35 at halftime, but used an 8-0 run early in the second half to pull away for good.
Stephanie Holton led the Hornets with 14 points, while Hargbol had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
