N.C. Wesleyan sweeps Hornets

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- North Carolina Wesleyan swept a pair of games from Shenandoah University over the weekend. The Bishops defeated the Hornets, 4-2, on Saturday and followed that up with a 11-7 victory on Sunday.
In Sunday's game, the Hornets took a 4-0 lead in the first inning on a grand slam by Scott Van Dusseldorp. The Bishops scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead. Van Dusseldorp, Jon Holcomb, Cory Nelson, Mike Smith and Tucker Brown each had two hits for the Hornets (3-3, 0-2 USA South).
In Saturday's loss, Van Dusseldorp had a hit and scored a run for Shenandoah. Skyline graduate Keaton Neeb and Holcomb each had an RBI for the Hornets. James Wood graduate Greg VanSickler took the loss for the Hornets.
