Central falls to George Mason in Region B semis
Daily Staff Report FALLS CHURCH -- Central's boys tennis season came to an end on Saturday in a 5-1 loss to George Mason in the Region B semifinals. At No. 2 singles, David Hoye pulled out a 7-6 (3), 7-5 win over Sam Waters, but that was the lone victory for the Falcons. At No. 1 singles, George Mason's Kan Tagami beat Central's Ethan Wilson, 6-4, 6-2. At No. 3, George Mason's Jay Rodock beat CentralĂ•s Cody Jones, 6-1, 6-1. At No. 4, Central's Ian Barb fell to George Mason's Eric Germond, 6-0, 6-0. Tommy Weber beat Central's Kyle Willis at No. 5, 6-3, 6-3 and Miles Butler beat Central's Matt Sherfey, 6-1, 6-4.
